Chain Paste

  1. I use a spray but then rub it in with an old tooth brush just to make sure the chain is completely coated.

I'd be interested in hearing of people's experiences of this stuff.

  2. But will dust and crud stick to it more than a spray lube , which will accelerate wear.

  3. He meant on his motorcycle I think :)

  4. Never seen that before! I recently started using motuls normal chain lube as well as the motul cleaner and both are brilliant! By far the best I've tried so far.
I used to use wurth stuff which was really good but the motul stuff is less "flingy" and the cleaner is really good!
Might have to try the paste soon when I have a new chain and sprockets fitted.

  5. New chain just fitted. Following advice from other members on here I'm leaving the aerosol cleaners alone and moving to paraffin and paint brush cleaning and Rock oil spray lube which I've been using for a while and like. Not sticky, very little fling.

  6. I use it, found best results if applied immediately after a ride when the chain is still warm, give the chain a wipe down with a rag (with kerosene/paraffin if wanted), apply paste and work in with the brush, remove excess with a rag and leave to "set", very little fling and good coverage, I rate it better than aerosols.
