Hi all, just bought a 1299 Panigale S 2015 and after just doing 300 miles I can see that the chain is rubbing the swing arm and the edge of the tyre. I have found some posts on here discussing the swing arm rub but nothing with anybody having tyre and chain rub. Has anyone had these issues and got it sorted? Bike has done 10,000 miles Thanks Steve
How worn is the chain guide? The one on my 1299 needed replacing when the chain started to rub the swing-arm. After replacement all was fine.
I will take a closer look, possibly look at changing guide and chain and sprockets and see how I go then......Thanks
Did that ( rotate the wrong way) on my 916, couldn't work out for ages why the tyre rubbed on the hugger, before forums and being able to ask for help
chain and sprockets are all standard, don’t know which way hub has been rotated as chain all adjusted prior to me buying bike. How would direction of rotation affect bike ? Thanks
On the 916 , if you rotated the eccentric hub the wrong way, it raised the wheel, wrt the swing arm, and the wheel would then rub the hugger ( attached to swing arm), rubbing solved by then rotating the hub 180 Deg.
