Mine let go and ripped the rear of the bike to bits, so need a new set. Anyone got any recommendations on type, manufacture, suppliers etc? Also, anyone tried different gearing for the road. I was wondering about a larger rear, from 39 to 42. Takes the top end off (but 155mph was more than sufficient so the officer said anyway), but might make it accelerate a bit quicker.
Going up 3 or 4 teeth on the rear is a nice mod on the 749. I have a tsubaki chain, the one with the gold outer links, o ring seals etc etc Looks very heavy duty, but, guess you never really know.
i have an Afam 520 conversion chain and sprocket set 14-42 and it made a nice difference to accelelation, makes for some interesting corner exits especially after a quick action throttle mod too.
