Good opportunity to change the gearing as well to something a bit more easier to live with, I do (did) it to all my bikes. A quick change sprocket carrier is a good way to go
I used the renthal quick release kit on mine, supplied by B&C express, very impressive customer service.
Do not be tempted with cheap stuff like "SSS", I made that mistake once, never again, always DID now.
+1 for the quick release. I had a renthal on my 848 and have put an afam one on my 998. Much the same really. Got a decent deal from biketorqueracing for the chain & sprockets.
