Just saw this on the MSVT site, looks new to me, changes to policy after the incident and Donnington?
They’ve been running those rules for years mate. Back in 2019 I recall a briefing where they told me and Monners no overtaking under braking or in bends. fat chance as I was on a 600. Where else was I going to overtake !? Naturally DM and I spent the entire day standing each other up and generally beating the crap out of each other and nobody cared in the slightest. msv are one of the better TD organisers for the standard of their days though. NL has been in a terminal velocity decline for aslong as I can remember. I’d feel safer dipping my dick in a single mother of 5 from Luton than going on a No Limits day these days.
Ha ha ha, thats a stunning level of hypocrisy..... so glad you'll be nowhere near a trackday I will be on.
We’ve actually been on the same trackdays previously old bean. And you survived You are correct though, we were nowhere near each other… I’m retired now anyway. So you can sleep in comfort tonight x
just been on two days at snetterton and the instructor (the one that’s spent an unreasonable amount on an r1!!) had absolutely no issue lifting people up in the middle of corners, I’ve got it on video, the punter crapped their pants. He could have past easier for 2 corners before
That’s not cricket. I heard the instructors at Cadwell were less than ideal this week as well. Just no need for it. All jokes aside from above, if I took myself out or my mate we’d laugh about it. But we didn’t twat about near other riders. Why would you? Especially as an instructor. Bellends.
I had a fairly close pass from an instructor at Oulton this month. Not scary but close enough for me to be taken by surprise (quite late as I was entering the corner). Not what I would expect from one tbh. Never had any concerns before then.
I did a track evening with MSVT at Brands Hatch a few nights ago, and during the briefing they said that anyone who overtook on the inside when another rider was tipping in for the corner would be warned once and then removed from the event. The main takeaway was "overtake as you would wish to be overtaken". It did make it feel a bit more sane than the previous No Limits evening session I did there a few years ago, saying that, three people still managed to take each other out at Druids totalling at least one of the bikes. There was another Monster out on track - it looked like a new 821, I heard from an instructor that the rider broke their ankle so hope he is ok if he's on this forum. This was the first time I've taken the monster on track and the good part was that the 1200s was absolutely phenomenal down the straights and the Brembo monoblocs brakes were great, I just need to get the hang of it in the corners...
You’re not supposed to overtake on no limits days when the rider has tipped in either it’s just common sense but as we know… it isn’t that common.
