Hi guys, I want to buy all the necessary tools for changing the rear wheel on my 1299s . Could you experts tell me what size nut I should buy . And I’ve heard that the torque settings are quite high so what breaker bar/torque wrench do you guys recommend I buy? Thankyou for your patience with the newbie.
There's a time and a place for breaker bars but it's not when removing Ducati rear wheel nuts. This is the puppy you want: https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cla...RA0NbJszU_l6zsdIwZEmtAaYoOEONP0xoC6zMQAvD_BwE And a nice torque wrench for doing it back up. No idea on nut size.
As @Cream_Revenge says. An impact wrench for undoing and a good quality torque wrench for doing it back up. I can also recommend the Machine Mart Clarke CEW1000 wrench. You can get impact sockets cheaply enough. I bought this 46mm one from eBay last week for my Hyperstrada. Your 1299 will be larger though!
Halfords pro 300 NM one @89.99 I think, and the Dewalt 899 impact wrench https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Halfords-P...00nm-1-2-Square-Drive-Garage-Tools/1623221415 http://products.dewalt.co.uk/powertools/productdetails/catno/DCF899HN/ https://www.lawson-his.co.uk/draper-16708-t-mm-b-3-4-square-drive-12-point-socket-55mm I may be wrong, but is the nut torque 230NM like the Multi ??
