Changing Reservoir Hosepipe On Brembo Front Brake Reservoir

  1. Hi I recently fitted a Brembo RCS 19 brake master cylinder to my 2017 GSXR1000 and have a bit of a kink on the hose that goes from the front reservoir to the master cylinder. I’ve bought a longer bit of pipe to route the hose better and wondered what you guys think the best way of swapping the hose is without disturbing the system too much. It was a pain to bleed! I’m thinking of syringing the fluid out the reservoir before swapping the hose but welcome any ideas. Thanks :)

  2. Its a very easy bleed at the top once you do it. Not much air will pass. One quick bleed.

You can try to rotate the hose to see if the kink sorts itself. Other than that, I also trimmed my hose to remove excess. Very simple bleed coz its at top.

  3. I did this when faffing about with an RCS19.
I had it all set up then thought the tube between reservoir and m/cyl could be better so I syringed the fluid out of the pot, removed less than perfect hose, put on new hose and refilled reservoir.
All it needed, as @bootsam said, was a quick little bleed from the top nipple. It helps to squeeze the new tube to help it fill from the reservoir.

  4. As above but if you still have a kink or too much of a bend, push a spring inside.
