I know some on here have put a 1098 side-stand on the 998 to reduce the lean angle, and I fancy joining the club - the existing lean angle on mine spooks me. But I've confused myself a bit. Is the 848/1098/1198 side-stand the same thing or is one of those in particular optimal? Looking on the net I can't work out what part number I want: I thought it was 55610462A [silver, which would match better], or 55610462AB [black] But I'm also seeing: 55610621A / 55610462AB - so I’m not sure which I'm after. Thanks for any steers.
556.1.046.1A is 2007 1098 556.1.046.2A 1098 & 848 is 2008 onwards but looks the same in the part diagram as 2007 stand 556.1.046.2AB is 1098 & 848 Black (but not always listed as black) 556.1.061.2AA is 2012 onwards 1199 and is a different shape to all others 556.1.062.1AB is 2012 848 but looks the same as all earlier ones in the part diagram That's the most boring response I have ever seen to a question and I wrote it :Wideyed:
I've just got one for mine off eBay and the cheapest I could find was £75. Try to get the side stand only as the bracket and Spring fixings are the same / interchangeable and should be cheaper than buying the job lot.
Did you check how much a new one was from Ducati? It may well have been cheaper @nelly how much are they new?
Worth a try! I know my mate got a new fairing bracket for a 999 cheaper than he could get on Ebay at the time.
That's actually brilliant, thank you. It sounds like the 2012-on ones are the same length so I assume I can go for any of these.
