Charging iPhones etc on the move?

  1. Afternoon all,

I am off for a week on my MTS in April and I was wondering what the best way to charge phones etc on the move was. I was thinking of using an adapter for the 12v outlet under the seat to allow me to use a standard cigarette lighter style phone charger from the car but this seems tricky to get a hold of?

    Any good suggestions?

  2. I use the same as above then just plug in iphone car charger

  3. Me too. The iphone 5 charges from a standard usb adaptor (not sure about earlier models) that plugs in to the car sized socket from chrisw's recommended adaptor.

  4. I have a 12vt socket under the seat and the other end is connected to my optimate output when needed

  5. Ultimate add ons inline iPhone chargers and case ..... Job done me and emm have them

  6. Ditto. Headphones in, music on the move whilst the phone is charging. Most excellent.

  7. Excellent! I had no idea it was called a "hella" connection but I've got one order. Thanks

  8. At the NEC BikeShow in Birmingham in November last year, i saw this USB socket on a small stand - quite pricy, i think it was £64 (Oh yeah, save 50% yada yada exhibition discount offer...)

I've seen it on US eBay, but not really available here in Europe yet - but maybe i'm just searching the wrong way (or wrong places)

    An example:

Anyone seen anything like here in Europe?

  9. Funny how things suddenly appear, just in front of your own nose....

  10. I bought a waterproof case with mount and power supply for my iPhone so it can be used as a sat nav as well.
£38 from E Bay and works brilliantly.

  11. I fitted one of these under front seat, you can run a cable from I phone under rear seat to charge whilst riding or even when parked up, also use it to charge my Bluetooth headset on touring trips away.

Like the fact that it switches off before draining bike battery, very clever!

  12. I don't suppose you have the old link?

Holder charging and cover....all in one sounds good!

  13. I don't like having that brick... :(

  14. Then don't have it. Simple really.
