Cheap, easy, bolt-on LED turn signals!

  1. New member here, just said hello in the Multi gallery:cool: I can`t remember anyone have showed this mod, but I found out that the LED rear turn signals on the 1199 Panigale is bolt-on on the Multi:upyeah: Only difference is that the 1199 turn signals have longer wires, but that is not a problem. This lights are also CE-marked, so they are road legal.

I actually like the original plate holder, but did not like the original bulb turn signals. So I think the 1199 turn signals are perfect! They should have come standard on the Multi, especially now on the 2013 model that even have LED driving lights. I have also changed the plate light bulb to a Osram LED bulb.

  2. Nice mod - I think I might be doing this myself over the winter.

But cheap - using genuine Ducati parts - perish the thought!!!

  3. I like that mod

    How much are they..?

  4. I don`t know the price in EUR/GBP, but they are like 30£ each converted from Norske kroner:upyeah:

  5. Do you have a part no. please?

  6. Sorry, but I cannot follow this. The option you mention sounds an attractive one, but according to the Panigale 1199 spare parts list, the rear turn signals have ordinary bulbs, just like the Multistrada, so what LED units are you talking about? Do you have a Ducati part number for them, please?

  7. Are you looking in the parts list for the USA version? You have to check the parts cataloge for the EURO version, aka the original 1199:biggrin: In USA, and maybe other parts of the world, the 1199 have the same rear turn signals as the Multi (and several other Ducati models).

P/N for the LED rear 1199 Panigale turn signals are:

    Left: 53010282A

    Right: 53010292A

On the cardboard box the lights came in, it says front turn signals. But no Ducati have this turn signals in the front. Only the 1199 use them in the rear.. Just Italian logistics I think:tongue:

  8. Excellent mod...and the smaller indicators do not seem to get burnt by my full Termi like my OEM ones did.
    Easy and quick to fit.

  9. I've just done this mod, I'm to lazy to carry around spare bulbs for European regs. I ended up buying a full panigale license plate holder off eBay which includes the indicators. Unfortunately the panigale LED number plate bulb is not a direct fit.

  10. I've fitted the Panigale LED rear indicators - not cheap but easy to fit. Maybe Ducati will fit them as standard for next year's model :)

I also fitted an LED "bulb" in the number plate light - it's really fiddly to fit and chances are that the plastic cover with break when trying to remove it. I originally fitted it on my 2010 bike after I spotted the standard bulb had blown. I moved the LED bulb to my 2013 bike, and sure enough I broke the cover again, but this time I brought a replacement first.

So now my replacement bulb kit is just an H11 headlamp bulb taped into an old 35mm film container.

  11. oooh i must fit some of these to compliment my flashing brake light thingy...

  12. The number plate light bulb is a 40mm festoon bulb, I replaced it with a super bright LED bulb (38mm but the spring contacts in the light fitting are easily closed a little so it fits)

I've also done the Panigale LED indicators mod :D
