Saw this last week. Utterly amazing no one seriously hurt!

 

Spackers… switch the brain on…

 

The pillion seemed to be the first one to catch on.

 

Someone didn't do their job properly no doubt.!

 

Is there any info on this as i wonder if it was an aluminium aftermarket nut?

 

Looks like it's got an ally nut on the sprocket carrier, so maybe? Maybe no safety clip either????? Seen some aftermarket nuts having no provision. There's no real reason to suffer that. Tighten it spec and fit the safety clip. Job done.
I've been asked not to do the wheel nuts to spec' "so it's easier to remove"....... bet you can guess what the answer was to that
