I know most of us are aware of this but some may not be. It allows you to see the mot history over a certain period and has a number of times, allowed me to see what the seller hasn't mentioned or wasn't aware of and it's free https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history
I have to say, credit where it is due, the DVLA linked services seem to work really well. License changes, insurance checks, mot status, change ownerships, taxing, the lot: very seamless in my recent (considerable!) experience
Agree, the other one I found handy, even more so now that we do not have tax discs anymore, is the check if a vehicle is currently taxed and mot'd. It also shows when it is due https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax
Got a mate who's just going to dvla to lead a transformation project. I have asked him to make sure he doesn't break it!
It's a great tool for checking whether the bikes mileage matches the service history and whether that 'well looked after' bike has had a shameful string of previous failures and advisories. I use it all the time when buying bikes, and like said above for checking when my own bike is due mot and taxing as it's so simply to use. Credit where credit is due to the dvla. Pity all government websites weren't as easy to use!
I use this all the time. Used to be very good when on the old MOT`s any advisories were listed on a separate piece of paper, which the seller would always "loose".
Yep, really handy and very easy to use, even from a mobile. I use them both all the time to check when I need to renew MOTs and TAX on my bikes and cars!!
