Chefs - The Wizards And The Prats

  1. There's a bit of a foody vibe going on here at the mo , so I'm keen to hear opinions ....

    At the top -
I rate Heston Blumenthal as the cookery equivalent to Jimi Hendrix ...... or Salvador Dali ?
Also Brian Turner , who is a true chef , starting with fry-ups in transport caff to being head chef
at The Dorchester ( replacing Anton Mosimann ) .... that's what I call class !

Down at the prat end of the business ( and totally over-rated ) I put Jamie Oliver ,
and that whining knob-shiner , Rick Stein .....
..... so far up himself that he can probably see daylight again .

Just my two kopeks worth of course ...... :):D:p

  2. I daren't go there, towards the bottom of the list for me is someone that will cause me to swap channels violently if on for longer than 5 seconds, but many on here will "love" him so will keep it to myself. At the top end? no idea and lost majority of taste and smell over 20 years ago so all on the "back burner" for me. No idea of cooking ability but John Torode seems ok?, quite liked Keith Floyd and Nigel Slater.

  3. I’m a Prat

I aspire to not be. Soon though I’ll be a prat with all the gear as well. I have become that which I have despised so passionately

    yayyy

  4. saw you were asking cooking gear questions, there's worse things to occupy yourself with? I can think of a few cooking lovers on the "other" place, but none on here come to mind yet.

  5. Another one for Floyd the original, especially with adding the wine or just drinking it,plus the Stranglers track playing at the end of the programme.
