Chrome Manifold.

  1. I've polished my manifold a couple of times now, it always goes brown so I've had it chromed see how long that lasts. PXL_20220402_101805816.jpg

  2. Does having the pipes chromed typically reduce discoloration?

  3. I really hope so.! Hopefully a nice blue colour rather than a dull brown, which polishes ok , but needs doing every couple of years. Most chrome companies won't touch a manifold which isn't straight through, too hard to clean.

  4. Make sure you clean any greasy fingerprints off the chrome before running exhaust gasses through them.

  6. this!

i used to wipe my panigale pipe down with wd40. It would smoke like a 2 stroke for a bit but they’d go gold with a good bit of heat through them

  7. It’s about the prints becoming permanently etched onto the chrome because of the high heat.

  9. If it doesn't work for you long term, try Cerakote. This stuff is super hard wearing and deals with the heat phenomenally well.
