Has anyone gone down the CJS remap route, or any other remap route, and if so what was your experience. The MTS1200 is a great bike but it just doesn't like slow speeds due to fueling issues; for me it is the one bugbear.
I have had the CJS treatment done its the best money I have spent on my MTS! Chris is a genius with what he can do with the fuelling on these bikes, you would not be disappointed. I can ride at 30mph in third gear without a hint of surging and the bike pulls like a steam train and is better on fuel! Give Chris a call and let him explain his magic! Well worth the money!
Long way for us Yorkies. Especially as CJS is supposed to be the only decent place to go in the whole area!!!!
Why not see if someone else wants to do it, share travel costs and driving and see if Chris can do 2 in one day...
I am heading to CJS next week from Co Durham but incorporating it with a sailing from Plymouth for my annual trip to the Pyrenees on Sun 1st Sept  Loooking forward to road testing on the N260
Stick it in a van and have an overnight in Bristol or Bath with the Mrs You get your bike remapped by a guy who knows his stuff....And the Mrs gets a night out too!! Kills two birds with one stone That's what I did..
Would a remap show up if the bike is plugged in at a Ducati dealership and if a sofware 'upgrade' was performed (reflash?) would that overwrite the CJS remap with an original or new factory map ?
Best speak to Chris @ CJS on that one As a measure I always stick a warning label on the diagnostic connector on mine when it goes in to the dealer not to overwrite the engine ECU.
+1 I spoke to Chris about this last week when I had mine done. The dealer updates are not modular, so for instance if any update is required then its a complete package and re-flash. It will over write the existing code. Just ensure your dealer is aware that you dont want any ECU updates. As mentioned, also add a label to the diag connector saying "no update". If the worst happens and its over written, then Chris keeps all the built maps and you can send him your ECU for recovery.
Is it worth having a remap with the standard exhaust rather than going down the pound notes route of a full Termi systems, ecu and filter etc.
There's probably little point in a full remap under those circumstances, but I believe Chris does some simple flashes that get you most of the way there without the subsequent cost of a fully tailored remap.
I had a simple reflash done to my 2011 which improved the low speed running greatly - 10 minutes work by CJS.
nodrog you have a pm +1 for CJS remapping. Had mine ( QD exhaust) done two years ago and it has been flying since...
