I just learned from my Insurers, FootmanJames, that when it is up for renewal in a few months, my bike will be a 'Classic' in their eyes, as it will be 15 years old......... .....as to whether that means it will be cheaper I have no idea, but as they are also transferring their 'modern' bike policies to Equity, so I will get two renewal quotes........... .........Oh, decisions, decisions..... AL.
15 yrs ! That means my 'bike and both my cars are 'classics' ... and not POS, like the missus calls them !
FJ used to do a classic policy that let you run a modern bike or 2 on it as well, one of the clauses was VMOC or DOC membership.
it means you get cheaper insurance and lower excesses when it gets to 25 years you can join the vmcc and start counting rivits........
On the basis of FootmanJames, I'm already a Classic several times over..........but then, I always knew I was. AL
