  1. A guy I know has a few bikes that he needs to sell. It seems that an earlier injury some years back to his right knee means he is no longer able to kickstart his bikes. If any one is interested in any of these bikes please PM me and I can put you in touch.
    He has for sale:
1971 350 Desmo Silver Shotgun. He bought this bike from France in a dismantled state and I got the job of rebuilding the engine last autumn - it was like doing a 3D jigsaw puzzle that someone else had taken to bits and lost some of the parts. The engine has been totally rebuilt with new bearings throughout and a new big end assembly. The cylinder bore was perfect and a new STD piston was fitted. All shafts and bevel gears have been shimmed to spec. New valves were fitted and clearances shimmed accordingly. The bike has been put together but still needs wiring and cables fitted. The silver paintwork has yet to be done. I haven't seen the bike itself but presume the frame has been powder coated. It is unlikely to have been registered for the UK yet but he has all the paperwork.

1969 450 Desmo. This bike is complete, running and in original condition. I did all the wiring to it about 2 years ago. Although he says it is a 450 Desmo, if it is 1969 it must be a 450 Mk3D which would have been finished in blue rather than the yellow it's currently finished in. I have seen this bike and it is good with everything correct except the colour.

1957 MV Augusta 175 CSTL. I haven't seen this bike but he says it is immaculate and I have no reason to doubt him.

1952 Triumph T100 - 500cc alloy engine. All I know about this bike is that it came from the stable of Bob Keeler who competed in the Senior, Junior and Clubmans TT's of 1953 and '54. It is not a race bike.

I also know of an 860GT, a 900GTS, a Darmah and a part assembled Moto Guzzi Le Mans that are available. Again PM me and I will provide contact details.

  5. Glasgow Edinburgh is ok but when you start getting more North than that it’s more the time it takes than the distance.

  6. The singles are in Fife, just across the bridge from Edinburgh. The bevels are near Inverness, admittedly a little further.

  7. We drove to eurodisney quicker than Alton towers

  8. An interesting collection
    Good luck with the sale.
