Not a BBC radio 2 listener myself nor a Graham Norton fan but after 10 years presenting a Saturday morning show, he must have a following. I wonder how many will follow him to his new job with Virgin Radio ? CW is no incentive for me to start listening to BBC radio either. Andy
CW has done a Sunday evening show on R2 before and was abysmal on that. BBC using her to fill the gap left by Graham Norton fits in with their apparent overall plan for Radio 2; that is not to give a toss about the listener but to make sure all presenters fit the current perceived requirements. My advice is to listen to Huey Morgan on 6 music.
The BBC have a great presenter in Trevor Nelson. However, the BBC seem to overlook him when it comes to prime time presenting. Whenever he fills in for those on holiday he does a great job and plays loads of cool 1980’s music.
BBC Radio 2 is pretty terrible at best I only listen to BBC radio 6 and even that has certain shows that get the “off” button
2nd vote for the Hughie show on BBC R6, cracking play list, no adverts, no talentless halfwit wittering away about shite for two hours. BBC R2 is just a mess at the moment. You've got that idiot Ball in the morning and then Vine rambling about non event problems, steve "the dino" Wright... jeeeso, They really need to get their act together. The only one left who is worth his salt is the Brucemeister, but I feel his days are numbered. Sadly, what we are witnessing here is the BBC's slavish adherence to politically correct dogma that dictates that "female" is good and "middle aged white man" is bad that's all its about, pure and simple. Talent, capability, experience and audience figures be damned. Ball, Winkleman et al will rise and rise in the BBC on the back of these policies despite a glaring lack of ability or success. Just one of the many reasons that somebody needs to get the whole shooting match by the throat ad give it a good f**king shake.
Chris Hawkins in the morning is a decent show, I'm not a morning person at best but he's easy listening I can't stand R2 morning show, boils my piss in seconds Its a war of attrition fighting over what station goes on the kitchen radio, the wife loves R2, I set for R6

I sense much anger and loathing...........just think of the folk in work situations that are forced to listen to R2 all day. I ended up buying earphones and listening to Spotify to escape, I think Huey should get a R2 day time slot.
Do you think Trev can pass his playlist to PCR FM as they seem to avoid the good 80’s tunes to play all the chittist tunes. In fact all local radio stations need to do 1 for me....
Agreed, just had a basin full of Ball, non stop drivel. Mrs put radio 2 on and to be honest Ball is not much better than her predecessor Evans. Both suffering with terminal verbarrhoea.
