Clean/valet/polish. Anyone Want Some Work Doing ?

  1. Afternoon gents.

I'm throwing a bit of a curveball out there for you today. As you may have seen I have a bit of a cleaning fetish.. I have polishing skills, mechanic skills and a great eye for detail and attention.

Basically I've decided to take what I do for fun to the next level and offer it as a paid service.

The job would take between 10 and 20 hours depending on what you want/need.

A typical 'clean' would start with removal of all plastics/wheels
    SDOC100 foam clean
    GT85-other cleaning/degreasing.
    Calipers stripped/cleaned
    Chain cleaned
Exhaust and engine cleaned, swingarm cleaned (underside, inside faces etc)
All black plastics/etc treated and cleaned. Cabling the same.
    Wheels and discs cleaned
Fairings re-fitted along with wheels with anything that needs greasing done
Polished all fairings/screen/tank etc, using a DAS6 machine and various types/makes/polish depending on what level of finish/issues are already present on the bike.
    Final check and wipe.

I can provide collection and delivery service, but of course there's an associated cost along with this service depending on time and distance.

If anyone is interest I can provide many many pics/threads on various forums of the quality of my work.

As a ballpark figure, the above would be ITRO £250 and I'd need the bike for 5 evenings through the week or a weekend.

Throw me a PM if you're interested and we'll see what we can do.

  2. You're paying me to clean my bike? Where do I sign?

  3. Too far away for me. I try to keep on top of mine but if it was local an annual pre-winter clean or a pro valet prior to sale would certainly be of interest especially if it was a mobile service.
There's lots of car and bike cleaners about now but very few who do it thoroughly will proper lubricating as well. There's got to be a market for that. Good luck with it.

  4. What insurance to you have while the bike is in your care?

  5. That's currently in discussion with broker and awaiting answers. The initial plan was to be mates bikes, but if doing more seriously it would of course be fully covered etc. But until I have some potential customers I'm not forcing that issue fully.

  6. I've seen your attention to detail on some of TRC threads & TRC meetup's over the years. Good luck weeksy
