OK, I know how to clean the outside of my leathers but I could do with 'freshening' up the inside a bit. The lining in my suit doesn't come out so I need to give it a clean while it's still in there. Anyone got any suggestions? So far I've thought of; 1. Washing myself more often (thought I'd get that in before any of you do :biggrin 2. Washing it in the bath, fully in the water, soap and everything 3. Just giving it a blast with some Febreze 4. Getting a professional to do it Any tips or tricks appreciated
dont get it too wet wet!! take all all the armour etc out you can use a bit a zoflara or similar disinfectant diluted in warm water, dab all over lining with a sponge and leave to air dry repeat until it doesnt smell so bad if you sweat that much you will probably ned to retreat the leather as it will dry our, gliptone liquid leather works great and wont rot the stitching other options is to send to someone like scrubbers leathers, they do a great job cleaing and treating inside out
hasnt it got a removable liner? i didnt realise mine had until i stopped at the road side the other day for a quick pee and followed thru. (actual true fact).
I was thinking of doing my Arlen ness leathers in the bath with a bit of mild kids shampoo then plenty of rinsing. I think as long as you let them dry naturally over a decent time period then think they should be ok. Then treat with some proper bike leather cleaner like that from Bks.
I have to say Scrubbers did a good job making my leathers sanitary after I came back from WDW. Don't know what exactly they did, but I ceased to worry that my jacket might try to crawl away of its own accord ...
My Mrs won't go near it, said it smells like a rancid dog..... I haven't asked her about the leathers yet though
