Clutch Creep 2005 MTS

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Steve Joyce, Apr 17, 2013.

  1. Sitting at lights, clutch pulled in......30 secs or so I start creeping forward and have to kill the engine.

I took it to by local Garage. £122 for slave cylinder....problem is still there, They want to order me a master cylinder. They said there was a problem with the slave as it was wet inside.

I'm not mechanically minded so just want to go for a ride, not be taken for one!!!

    PLEASE HELP

  2. Hi. I think its because the dry clutch gets hot and expands causing the drag.

  3. I bet a good bleeding up would sort it out

  4. Yes Steve and Mr C would be right , Before you take it back for a replacement MC (how much ) use your bike and slot in neutral before stopping, see if that helps before accepting the bills for more work to be done. Do you have a vented clutch case as that will let heat escape. Also remove plates and clean with brake cleaner should help.
