What are peoples' experiences of clutch to miles before needing replacement ? I'm just on 30,000 miles and beginning to suspect the clutch is soon to give up the ghost. Andy
Clutches don't really wear. They usually last the life of the bike, unless it's been abused in some way.
Just make sure it's not the clutch slave cylinder causing you issues. This is a known weak point, especially on early bikes. It's simple to replace with a more robust aftermarket version.
63K kms here and still tries to do a reverse somersault if I open the throttle very abruptly in 1st and 2nd on good tarmac...
I would suggest giving it a good bleed from the master cylinder and let us know if that improves things, why do you think it is on the way out?
