749 Co Level

  1. Evening All

What CO level should I set the bike at idle? I am using a gunsons sniffer at about 300 mm down the exhaust end can? The front and rear exhausts are not joined anywhere in the system.

    Cheers.

  2. Bump ...
I'd like to know this as well , a rough guide line would be useful .
I've got 4.5% at idle , using a gunsons pro meter and jp diag .
Trimmer is at 25 in jp diag .
@chrisw < I've heard your the man in the know with this ecu adjustment

  3. 4.5% is a good number.

I set the 916 to around that figure (difficult to get an exact reading) and it ran nicely. I then had it custom mapped by CJS and when I checked the CO it was still around the same figure, of course the map optimises it through the rev range and not just at idle.

  4. Also aim for 4.5

I use a 1/4" BSP hose tail end connector to screw into the OEM gas analyser ports. Then put the Gunsons metal tube onto that.

  5. ohh thanks guys
yeah it's a good way to do it chris , at the moment i can't do that because the termi system i have on it doesn't have the bosses on it at the moment .
i was think of removing the system and having some welded in as one of my winter jobs to do .
@chrisw how much adjustment is there using jp diag roughtly ??

  6. JPDiag allows as much adjustment as you need. I just use the + and - buttons and see the effect on the Gunsons read out. Stick with doing it at the tailpipe outlets.
