Hi all, going to do the desmo service and repaint the covers soon. whilst dismantling the bike yesterday I noticed when removing the coils both coil grommets / seals had been siliconed in place and were looking worse than I would like. Looking around looks like they come with the coil. Has any found alternatives?
Many people put a dab of grease around the seal to prevent moisture ingress. Easier to deal with than RTV.
Red rubber grease is great for these sorts of jobs. And useful stuff to have around when cleaning brake calipers/pistons.
