  8. No I sold the ZZR on the Zx14 forum to a great guy in Scotland who flew down Thursday to collect it. Riding back south tomorrow, let me know if you fancy a ride

  9. Trade in with cash back to buy gixer thoooouuuusssaaaaaannd

  10. Andy and Franksie, I'm in Portishead so we will have to meet up some time.

  11. Hi Mr H,, I,m sandwiched between Portishead and W-S-M so am happy to meet up anytime you like, being a newbie to Ducati,s I sure I can bore you with a million and one questions

  12. Me too, 1400 miles into my first ever Duc. But not at all disappointed!

  13. Love the bike but that rear brake!!!!!!! Seems to have a lot of travel with little, if fact no effect!!! Put it on the centre stand and turned the wheel whilst applying the brake and even then not impressed with it. Got to re think my riding style as I used the rear brake on the zzr to settle it into a bend if needed, now its front brakes only it seems!!

  14. I wonder how much of that is related to he ABS, be interested to k ow what non ABS bikes are like and all my previous Ducatis have had an ok rear brake

  15. Give it time. I'm now at 640miles and mines seems to be a lot better now.
Took me a while to get used to it but mines defo works. I think it's a mixture of getting used to the travel and effectiveness of the braking and it actually bedding in.
Mine kicks in the abs fine when trying it out on a straight clear road so I know it works.
The first few hundred miles were scary and I had a quick shot of my z1000 the other day and defo miss the brakes from that as they are really sharp.

  16. Mines a 2011 with 6k on the clock so nicely run in with the recall mod but its crap, knew what to expect from hours on this site but didn't expect the looong travel with no result, seems a waste of time having abs on the rear when its impossible to lock it up in the first place lol

  17. mrH / Franksie.....becoming a bit of an MTS12 hotspot round these parts lol Give me a shout any time you're down this way (I'm not working so around a lot!), first Duc also but 3+ years in now! (www.mts1200.info/map.htm;-)
