Hi all, my insurance is up on the 28th, currently have the car and two bikes on Carole Nash's Six Wheel policy, all on one policy, one number! Have only one "claim" as such for many years, claimed under their Lid & Leathers sub-policy for a new lid after getting smashed in the face by a pheasant at 60mph... Cue one cheque - and a LOT of cold-calls from ambulance chasing compensation call centres. Carole Nash denied selling any of my details, so it must have been the sub-company? New phone contract, new phone number  They were good with all the mods done to both bikes, which are far from standard? I recently fitted a 1098 oil cooler to the SS and emailed them with all details. "Thankyou for your email, it has been passed to our specialist enquiries team who will contact you shortly" Two days later: "Regarding your recent modification, could you inform us if it raises the overall horsepower of your motorcycle by over 10% or not please, if it does then please attach a printout of the new power rating" WTFH?? I emailed back that it was an oil COOLER, and as such wouldn't affect the power rating at all? I reminded them as per my original email that the cooler was fitted to keep the engine temps lower? I questioned the overall knowledge of their "specialist enquiries" team and stated that said team did not know their collective ass's from a hole in the wall? I then asked them when my policy would be ending as after this farce, a £40 "admin fee" after we moved house, and the cold-calling after the pheasant incident I would not be insuring anything through them? Does anybody else have a (GOOD) combined car & bike insurance scheme, or am I better off doing separate schemes?? :frown:
Read my post about Bennetts......Having now had a quote from Carole Nash, there's no way I would ever consider them again.....£347 for a Ducati SS.....F-Off. Seems to me to me it would be better to shop around for individual policies AL.
