After 7 years of owning my 600SS I've come to the realisation that I'm never going to sell it. Even though it's gone from primary mode of transport to 1000 miles second choice of my bikes, I still love it to death. So I've decided it's going to resume being an R&D project. To cut a very long story short, I will experiment with making a full, two piece, composite exhaust including silencer, purely for the purpose of interest. However the first hurdle is the biggest, making the tooling for the job, for which, I'm afraid my generation needs CAD, or at the very least a technical drawing to make the CAD. In the very remote chance that anyone has the CAD/Tech drawing or some Carby SS Downpipes (twin end can or single, doesn't matter at this stage) I would be eternally grateful. I will, otherwise plot it myself, but worth an ask. Finally, For those interested, the tooling will be produced using additive manufacturing to create an internal washout mandrel. A very basic introduction into the tech can be found here: FDM Soluble Cores Simplify Production of Composite Parts All this is done on site at my place of business, I'm not sure if i'm allowed to plug them, so i'll check the forum rules and edit if necessary.
