Condensation In Garage

Discussion in 'Diavel & XDiavel' started by Ash Hussain, Dec 21, 2020.

  1. After a few days of parking in the garage I noticed condensation on the bike. So I moved it to the garden under a water proof roof but open to fresh air. Thought that would fix the problem. As soon as the rain came so did the condensation.

So here is its new home... :p
(It’s my daughters 4th birthday on Saturday. Hence the decorations).

  3. I use an oil filled radiator on low power/heat in the garage during the winter, and this year also started using these cheap dehumidifiers under the bikes: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01C6V5IVG - So far no signs of any condensation.

  4. lovely picture but it's doing my head in, is that an 8/10ths scale Diavel? I can't work out why it looks only slightly bigger than a Grom.

  5. I envy you. My garage is a block garage. No power. Made of concrete slabs. No decent insulation. Summer time it’s fine. It can sit there. Just for the winter it can watch TV with us. Lol.

  14. You do. You just have to move all the other crap in the lounge into the garage. If you have never done this before, its best not to ask the family for help, in fact I'd recommend doing the switch over whilst they are all out!

  15. was going to say, ^ it's the permission or approval that is often the hardest bit - I speeded up my last separation by putting my 996 in the living room, (worked a treat).

  17. My garage has been the same. I'm going to look at a bike bubble thingy.

  18. Have a word with Steve mate. Bayliss boy had his 1098R in a bubble jobby in his garage for ages.

  19. I leave a dehumidifier on 24/7 with a hose take off on the unit to let the water flow out of the garage no condensation. Running cost of a refrigerator i believe, the garage is just block/ metal sheet construction no insulation.
