Coolant ... Doubts ..

  1. Hi ladies , someone could tell me what to do with the coolant ???
    I don't know what the old owner put there and I want to depleting the reservoir and refil it with fresh Motoccol + Moccol ( temperature in Brazil is complicated .. very hot ).
    I need to remove the water pump to do this ? Is a Hyperstrada 821 .

  2. No need to remove your water pump, you'll have a drain plug similar to the picture below to allow you to drain your coolant.

  6. I found the plug ... but to avoid air bubbles inside the sistem ???
    Wich the correct way to do it ??

I have found that putting the bike on the sidestand (This puts the radiator cap at the highest point) and squeezing your coolant hoses a few times whilst filling with antifreeze gets rid of most air. Then start the bike for a short while (maybe 1 min), stop the engine, remove the radiator cap and top up again. DO NOT remove the radiator cap if the engine is hot, wait until it cools.
