Correct torque setting ?

  1. Hi,
new to the forum so be gentle with me if this has been delt with before elsewhere. Time for the first new tyre so I've had the wheel out & just wanted to check the correct torque setting for the 4 bolts holding the front spindle in (as shown in the photo). The only reference I've been able to find is described as "Marzocchi fork end terminal fixing screw" @ 10 Nm ? ,doesn't sound quite right to me ???? . cheers Image0214.jpg

  2. Sounds about right to me. Pinch bolts should pinch, not bite :upyeah:

  5. cheers for that Bob, just what i wanted confirmation of the figures I'd got. Its little things like this that make these forums soo good, will get it done over the weekend then start on the back wheel (if I can undo the bloody nut ) :upyeah:

  6. and what tyre are you going for? I'm due for replacements again and just went for the Scorpions again last time but they haven't lasted now I've settled onto the bike. Any opinions for replacement on 1200S?

  7. Michelin Pilot Road 3's for me. Feel right, hard wearing, exceptional grip in the wet.

  8. Dunlop Roadsmarts - better rear mileage than the Scorpions for me.

  9. Thanks guys - and I notice I'm a "junior member", love it at 56, how old are "senior members"?

  10. Its all in the mind

  11. Speak up sonny, what was the question again?

  12. Going to try the Metzeler Roadtec Z8s,they've had some pretty good reviews - will post a reply once i've done some miles.
