  1. So, after loads of faffing around...I got my read crank case breather...my own has a one way read valve but the new one doesn't...does it matter....?

  2. If that had been from a 916/748/996/998 engine, I’d have said it was a racing breather that would have been paired with an underseat expansion box which would have been then connected to the air box where the non return flappy valve would be located. If you fit it to your Hyper, I’m pretty sure you’ll need a non return flap somewhere in the loop. Andy

  3. Righty...thanks for that...the instructions that came with it are for a 939....which i havent got...it mentions removing something from the oem breather...

  4. the valve is there as a one way ie the crankcase pressure created can be expelled into the air box but the air box pressure doesn't enter the crankcase.

  5. So, Do i need anything in there or just stick a filter on the end?

  6. some do put a breather on the end but you might as well leave the reed valve and vent it back to the airbox. on a 998 the underseat box extends the size of the crankcase area helping to reduce the pressure underneath the pistons this still vents to the airbox and has a reed valve on it.

  7. no airbox...running k & n's!
