Why did Ducati think that putting the key to release the pillion seat next to the exhaust was a good idea? Trying to release the lock without either scratching the exhaust, or burning your hands if the bike is hot is quite a mission. They did it on the 1260 too.
It’s also far too easy to leave the key under the seat and ride off (or leave it parked in London all day like that). This is why I now use a dumb key to open the seat
