1200 DVT Crash Bars For Hand/indicator Protectors

This is something I would be interested in as well. Not seen anything as yet.

 

So, there was a mirror/indicator conversion for the 2010/2012 Multistrada that came with a full hand guard. It did not involve changing anything other than the mirror. With a little investigation, it might fit the DVT. Hope this helps. Andy

 

How much is your 'Carnet de Passage' roundincircles?

 

I wonder if the hand guards are any more robust on the new 1200Enduro? And if so, will they fit on the "old" 1200 DVT models?

Anyone seen the hand guards on the new 1200 Enduro?

• Are they a different design to those fitted on the 1200/1200S?
• Do they look more robust?
• If the answer is yes to the above, do you think they might fit on the other models?

They were just as flimsy as the others.

 

Just glancing through the 2016 accessory catalogue (link on Equipment / Accessory Webpage, lower right side) and I noticed a set of more robust hand guards, pictured below.

I then looked for more details (96280151A) and it appears they are only for the 2010-2014 models :-(

Shame as this is what I want on my 2015 model to replace the flimsy plastic hand guards and provide something like the protection offered by the Barkbusters I had fitted to my previous bike.

 

Something a bit (lot) more robust would be appreciated - I've managed to break a couple and they cost something like £36 a pop!

 

I have a set of these for sale in the For Sale section or ebay. They should fit the new DVT Multi as well.

@Twin4me - these arn't the same; yours are replacement hand guards without indecators and replacements mirrors with indicators. The new ones are replacement hand guards in which the original LED elements are fitted. It looks like they have a metal (Aluminum ?) sections from the bar end to the mirror support (?).

 

Handguards are really fragile. R&D should look at BMW and KTM handguards. And move indicators to the mirrors maybe. The customer should not deal with stuff like that.
