here are a set of crash bobbins for sale, they are the ones that sit under the fairing panels so you don't have to cut any holes in your fairings. £30 collected from Woking or Reading or postage at cost.
How are they fitted? Can Ido it myself? I have 2008 848 - how new are the black bits? Scuffed or clean black? Thanks
There are a couple of light marks on them but you'd have to be pretty close up to see them ! No impact use or anything like that. I have some instructions from some R&G ones that I'll copy and put in with them for you that'll give you a guide on how to fit them (but I don't think these are R&G as they don't have any brand on them ). Nothing too difficult.
Meant to say one of the nyloc nuts has been replaced with a normal one so ideally you'd want to replace this, but an easy change.
I'm gonna sleep on it man I'm not desperate for bobbins but I want a set for peace of mind...so thanks for letting me know and maybe I'll be in touch tomorrow, if not good luck they're a good price
