What crash protection does everyone have? I feel like I should put something on my 899, as it's probably only a matter of time until something unfortunate happens. I'd rather not be in the situation where I'm regretting not buying crash protection, although I see that opinion is divided as to whether it is a help or a hindrance. Does anyone have any crash protection on their Panigale? If so why did you choose what you did? Also has anyone actually crashed onto it? I was leaning towards the R&G aero sliders, because they are a brand I respect (I slid my SV down the road on some, and they saved me a lot of money), although I dislike the logo being so large & noticeable. I already have some paddock stand bobbins on the swingarm - do I need one of the things that goes through the axle too? What about on the front? (By the way I don't have a front paddock stand yet and want to get one, so that's a consideration). What do you reckon guys?
That seems like a popular choice. I know it's shallow but I really wish they'd update their logo design, and get rid of the seemingly random stream of numbers and letters beneath it.
I installed the R&G aeros on my 899 at the weekend was a bit daunted by the instructions at first but wasn't too bad in the end and feel a lot happier knowing they are there
oh year have the bobbins on swing arm too, i suspect going to need something on the tail section as looks like would ground out if i was to drop the bike had GB engine covers on my old fireblade, very good product but wouldnt be much use on the 899 as only one side pops out of the fairing, the other being covered by it
true, but it would matter if dropped getting out the garage. something i have done far to often over the years
also considering what to get for my 899 Was thinking the Aero sliders but not sure what i think untill i see them fitted in the flesh also same with the engine covers etc
I fitted Evotech front and rear and stuck on some if their bar ends. I'm considering getting the T-Rex engine covers.
If you drop it then it's highly likely to be something silly and likely low speed so the aero protectors would definately be beneficial. The only thing that annoys me is they are so bloody expensive. My R1 aero cost me about £60 per set and they are not much different to the Panigale ones that cost well over £200!
