1200 DVT Crashbar Mounts For Oem Fog Lights?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by PineWhisper, Jan 5, 2025.

  1. Hi,

I've just fitted the SW Motech crashbars and it turns out they don't fit on with the OEM fog/accessory lights. I've got the Multi 1200S 2017.

Preference: I'd like to mount the existing fog lights but on the crash bar - does anyone know of an existing mount that will work? I can only see fog mounts for set manufacturer lights rather than for the OEM lights.

Backup: If I can't get the OEM mounted, any suggestions for semi-affordable accessory lights? Denali look nice but I'm not paying that much ££££!

  2. Got SW motech bars on my '16 Enduro with Ducati fog lights, different bike admittedly but no problem with the fittings ... I wonder if you have the correct light mounting brackets?

  3. From what I've seen the Enduro has different crash bars and the middle links at the bottom of the radiator whereas mine links near the top.

  4. Yeah, I see what you mean, just looked at the pics on the SW site.

  5. I installed the HEED crash bars (much better design and look imo) which also don't support OEM aux lights. I've looked into many solutions to have both but they simply don't fit without looking like a GS with them sticking out the side.

  6. I'm hoping to use the mount I've ordered to fit them in a similar place but on the bar rather than using the OEM mount. They're due here this week so I'll report back with pictures if I manage to make it work.

  7. Heed sell some light brackets which look pretty adaptable, and not too ugly.

  8. So this is promising. I've got the lights attached to the bar mounts which should just go on the crash bar without too much issue. If it all fits as expected, I'll play around with spacers to make sure lights are facing the right way and then swap out the bolts for some nicer black ones. Just need some slightly warmer weather first!

  9. I found the leads only just long enough when attached in the std position. I'd guess that when mounted on crash bars you may need to extend the wiring.

  10. Yeah I imagine I will, got lots of spare 12v wiring so shouldn't be an issue. I'm hoping to mount it in a similar ish place to OEM so fingers crossed it'll just stretch.

  11. If anyone has a set of OEM spot lights brackets for sale I might be in need of some If the brackets that come with the 2nd hand lights I've bought off ebay don't fit as they were originally on a 950.
    TIA

  12. For which model of aux lights? There are two versions for the Multi over the range.

  13. I've bought the smaller black version not the silver 1s

  14. Brackets look completely different to the silver mk1 version spotlights I fitted to my MTS 1260. Effective but something of a pain to fit as the bodywork needs to be removed.
