Basingstoke seems to be surrounding itself with 50 speed limits on all feeder roads into the town, silly thing is as soon as you turn of the main roads you are back up to 60 and these minor roads are potentially more dangerous. Is this just a local thing or is it happening else where.
It's happening everywhere, the price we pay for living in a nanny state. In truth, it's cheaper to reduce the speed limits (and then earn revenue from speed cameras) than it is to fix the roads.
