I've always thought cruise control would be nice to have on a bike for touring. It's certainly useful on a car. The thing is, cars with cruise are usually automatic so they change gear up or down if necessary. A bike being non-automatic would rather limit the usefulness, wouldn't it? The Tuneboy system in your link - what does it consist of? How do you fit it on the bike? How do you operate it? I cannot find any useful info on the website.
from what i gather : its a progamming job with probably the redefinition of buttons while on the move... what they sell is the prom and soft to do so... i think ( not 100% sure) if hoy rode plenty of highways fo long distances at a not to high pace, it must be a good thing... i wouldn't mind having one... grtz Koen
I have cruise control on my manual mini diesel and it's fine, sure its a bit nicer in an auto (have a v70 t5 barge too with it) but with the way that our bikes pick up I'd have thought it would be no trouble at all. Bmw have been fitting it on the 1200s for years so must be ok for touring
i gues just holding the throtlle for a whole wold be nice to be able to let go of the gas for 10 secs... and wriggle your fingers...
The tanks have a crude after market system which has already led to a number of accidents (some on YouTube, search throttle lock) can't see the necessity on a bike. It is nice in the car though.
