Crutchlow Extends

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by bradders, Aug 23, 2018.

  1. Seems Honda are happy. Announced he has extended until end 2020 with LCR and a Honda factory contract.

He even manages a smile in the release picture;)

  2. Despite all the criticism, the boy has done good, fair play to him, a proper trier (if that's a real word)

  3. The best british rider in the top class for over 40 years imo. Well done Cal. :upyeah:

  4. Yep, well done Cal, he is outspoken and can be a grump but he is politically smart and he has carefully managed the relationship with his employer who obviously are big on the Japanese values of honesty and integrity. That compared to how things are going with Scott.. well..

  5. Always great to see a Brit in motogp and let's hope for 2019 he can get better/improved results:upyeah:

  6. Good on him, he does as he is told at Honda, he has been told not to crash as they want the constructors title, hope he ignores this at the weekend and gets a podium, at least we have one Brit that is regularly at the sharp end .

  7. He's certainly lasted in moto gp longer than most other brits, I think bringing some new sponsors into the team has helped too

  8. From the stats I can find online, from 2013 - 2017 Crutchlow has fallen off less often than Marquez every year bar one.

But when Marquez falls off its just Marc being Marc and why didn’t he do a super duper save, as opposed to when Crutchlow falls off it’s he’s a hopeless crasher.

    Double standards.

  9. Great ain't they :D but to be fair, I don't think anyone has said Cal is hopeless at crashing.

  10. Suspect the difference is, apart from wins, that Marq does in in practice, Crutchlow in races.

  11. Fair point.

But whatever one’s point of view he’s in MotoGP and we’re not, so he would likely piss over all of us on track even with one hand tied behind his back*.

    * which may of course lead to him falling off, so wouldn’t be a good idea, but you hopefully get the point.
