Current Travel Restrictions For Spain ?

  1. Anyone travelled to Spain very recently ? Been looking at the internet, hoping to find a definitive answer to what I need to get through immigration at Alicante for Almeria. If I have understood the Spanish health web site, the UK is 1 of 37 non EU countries to have their own Covid vaccination certificate accepted in lieu of the EU version. That being the case, nothing is required, not even the Spanish QR code thingy ? Andy

  2. Went to andalusia in Feb, we needed vaccination proof and had to fill in a Spanish locator form

  3. Got Aragon next week, just updated my NHS Covid record to valid until May 22nd, I think that is it, but I am sure Sleazyjet will bombard me with more tedious emails.

  4. That’s why I started to investigate. The link they include in the email was informative, it’s the link to the Spanish Health web site. The subtleties of the Spanish language don’t convey the same certainty when translated in English. Andy

  5. As far as I know, just evidence of your jabs etc via nhs app. Im at Almeria wobbling around on the 2nd June.

  6. That was my conclusion at the first reading but the translation of the Spanish requirements into English makes for ambiguity. Andy

  7. @Mac of this parish is there at the moment as far as I'm aware. Either that or very recently returned.

  8. Going on Monday, Brittany Ferries to Santander. Passenger locator form no longer required. Proof of booster vaccination via NHS app will suffice,as previously said. More info available on the Brittany Ferries website.

  9. I usually go monthly and just ensure you have proof of vaccines. The locator form was their most inspected element, but as someone has said, now dropped.

This is from their version of our NHS website...

In order to enter Spain, all passengers, regardless of the country of origin (except children under the age of 12 and passengers in international transit), must show one of these documents:

    • An EU DIGITAL COVID CERTIFICATE OR EU EQUIVALENT of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative certificate of an active infection diagnostic test or a recovery certificate after having this disease.
    • SpTH QR. If you do not have the EU Digital COVID Certificate or equivalent, you must complete the SpTH Health Control Form, manually entering the details of your vaccination, recovery or diagnostic test certificate.
The vaccination certificate with complete schedule for children under 18 has no expiry date.

  10. As UK is outside Shengen, they have also started asking to show proof you have a minimum of 100 euro for each day of your stay

    • WTF WTF x 1
  11. Apologies, WTF was my first reaction :D That brings a new element and similar to what I’ve seen being asked of “tourists” entering Australia and New Zealand. Andy

  12. Right reaction. It's mental I agree

  13. Would that be another B.....it benefit

  14. The UK was never inside Schengen......

  15. I stand corrected.

  16. The only thing you need now is proof of vaccination. It needs to be up to date as do your vaccinations.

Download the NHS app and get it from there. They accept that as proof.

  17. When we arrived in Spain on 9th March we didn't have to do anything, though we did get to the EU on the chunnel and had to load our Covid passport/proof of jabs onto their website.

Gov.uk website should be able to tell you the latest.

  18. Still here :)
