Cutting out at red line

  1. Out today on my Multi and when changing down two gears and giving her a handfull to overtake two cars she bogged out and didnt cut back in until i shut off, just managed to pass the two cars and get in before being caught by oncoming car. She runs ok on normal riding conditions but take it close to the limiter and she just shuts down. anyone else had this, she's done 8.2k now

  3. It could simply be the limiter. The multi uses the soft limiter. No hard cut, just stops revving.

  4. It had a two year service as the mileage hadn't been reached as per schedule, so dont know if the filter would have been changed or not. It definately wasn't the limiter as when it cut back in it nearly ripped my arms out. Seems to run fine when giving it gentle throttle openings.

  5. Ive had this happen a couple times when belting it and several times at lower revs too ! See my recent whinging on my post a little while ago !
