  1. Looks like Alvaro will be starting the weekend off a bit closer to Toprak this week...

  2. Say what you like about having to manoeuvre an extra 6 bags of sugar but that didn’t look like his issue today and if it was bulega had the same issue.
Looked horribly set up and a bit of an animal twitching all over the place!

    Toprak looking utterly unstoppable.

  3. Bulega cooked his tyres I think.

  4. Did you see the bit where toseland sneaked into parc ferme after the celebrations died down and showed the tyre degradation on the beemer and two ducs?
It couldn’t possibly have been any worse than Topraks :joy::heart:

  5. All the Ducati’s were shaking through the corners. Bautista and Bulega would have been a lot futtther down the field if they didn’t have such an obvious advantage down the straight still.

  6. And for once I felt genuinely sorry for A lowes.

  7. I just watched the race. None of the padding.

  8. Could it be suggested that although the ducati moto gp bike is clearly the one to be on the v4r isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and it’s reputation is a bit over inflated?

  9. Toprak again miles up the road. Won't be long before people start moaning about something to slow him down.
Ducatis look like a handful at times.
Redding maybe on the wrong tyres and being in the middle of the pack you won't make top 10. The class is just to fast now.
Gutted for Alex , decent ride but not straight line speed..
Gardner put in a decent effort

  10. They have already set that precedent.

  11. Have we not ascertained that the minimum rider weight was necessary and that Topraks winning fairly and squarely and on talent alone by now?

If not, how do you restrict a rider who’s heavier than the minimum rider weight and on a slower motorcycle than the current WC?

Genuinely curious because the evidence is there for all to see.

  12. Another awful mistake today from the WC.

  13. As soon as he went for it and he didn't look committed I said he wouldn't stop.
Bulega was lucky to stay on , Bautista fell off because he's got little legs

Wonder what happened to Sam for him to crash like that. Very strange

  14. He is winning on talent, correct. But look at the rev limit meddling from before (not just rider weight). Toprak is brilliant and I love him. But like he said himself. It’s boring.

  15. Ive not got to the bored point just yet , give me two to six years of it and I may well do.

Do you think Alvaro would jump back to winning ways if they ditched the minimum weight rule?

  16. I don't think he would at the moment. Just not happy with the bike this year and everyone has moved on and better field.

  17. Barring the opening round at Pi where has he gone well on that duc?
Can’t remember a single round where he’s rode consistently well since.
God knows what he’s cost Mr VdS in broken bike parts!

  18. The only boring bit about watching Toprak right now is he’s so far ahead you rarely get to see him as the cameras are focussed on battles further back on the whole.

  19. Exactly.
But today they had to go far down the field to find any real action. Im not bored by him (he is brilliant) but just want to see some closer racing. I don’t think AB is at the same level he was at though, ignoring the extra Kgs. But undoubtedly he still has a fire burning. As does Rae.

  20. It’s been a very strange season so far and hard to nail down. It’s most certainly not down to the minimum weight rule although I will admit Alvaro hasn’t had the cards dealt to him he’s had in the past.
There’s only been two really consistent riders, Bulega and obviously Toprak.
The rest seem to go from glory to despair from one race to the next!
Rea being whalloped by Loca most weeks must be gnawing away at his brain.
Remy has one decent weekend one truly shit one.
    As do Ianone and Petrucci.
As do the remaining bmw riders.
Hondas moving in some kind of forward direction but far too slowly.
The kawasakis rarely appear on my radar.
Will be amazed if Topraks here next year now.
