Off to the 70th celebrations this year, used to go every year, and been to most of the recent big celebrations. The amount of vets still standing dwindles every year, I can still remember being drank under the table by a group of 6th airborne D Day vets at the 55th anniversary and then being woken by the same vets at 06.00hrs on the morning of the 6th in full regimental blazer's berets etc and them taking the piss out of the youth of today (I was 29). Combining a bit of a stag do, with copious amounts of respect for those that stood firm against Nazi tyranny. Cant wait
