D16rr For Sale - Be Careful

  1. I've been looking for one for some time (not @ £40K price point thou...) . found one which sounded fairly reasonable for sale in Europe .
    this all was good till prick emailed me and asked for deposit and sent me pictures of the bike he downloaded from bike specialists site.

    so be careful if you will get cheap D16RR offered.

  3. Yes be careful, a lot of sites in Europe have false adverts trying to con people out of money.
    We've got a Ducati motorbike and pets store here and are forever having shady people calling offering to sell their bikes at discounted prices, as soon as you ask for more details the line gos dead....

  6. I am very familiar with Barcelona so I had a look at their address. Google shows sixlyon racing in the back alleys of Barcelona off the Ramblas not far from the Place de Catalunya but their post code and phone number puts them in Sitges. Was going to suggest that it smells as fishy as the fish counter in the Bocceria but their fish is so fresh it doesn't smell and it's not appropriate to draw similarities with Sitges. Andy

  7. I copied the address and pasted it into google maps then went down onto street view and it does exist and is obviously there. I have put a deposit on the d16rr. Thanks all.;)

  8. I'm forever putting deposits on D16RRs. Can't help myself, they look so good.

    Mind you, you have to work fast - the owners are never far away.

    I was looking at an RG500 that the same guy was selling for a very interesting price. After the guy sent me a mail I thought I'd google the name (to see if he was a legitimate business, and this thread came up, so thanks for the info.
    Very close shave!
