Dainese Leathers With 'in' Boots

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Kingfixer, Mar 24, 2015.

  1. having purchased a set of Aspide leathers, I bought a pair of axial pro in boots to go with them, tried them on last night to see how the boots fitted into the leathers, incredibly hard to do the zips up on the leathers over the boots, almost to the point where I thought they might break !! Not having owned these type of boots before, surely they are supposed to easier to put on ??

  2. I don't have the same boots but mine go over my leathers

  3. I've got the aero evo suit and axial pro ins. Fit together like a glove

  4. Are the boots & leathers both new? I wear a 10 year old suit with in boots, bought some newer boots a couple of years ago & they are too narrow for my old suit

  5. You wear them on your hands?..

  6. I own the same combination (one piece) and find it a bit of a faff to put on, but once on, a very comfortable combination. By rotating the leathers around a bit I normally find a position that enables the closing of both sets of zips on the leathers. Robing up is a bit of an effort but I had put this down to the circumference of my calfs rather than the fitment of the gear per se.

  8. Maybe it's just coz they are both new then, just seemed a very tight fit to get zipped up that's all, they are very comfy once on so hopefully once they've got broken in a bit they will be fine .

  9. Ive got an older Laguna Seca 2 piece that I wear with Axials. I had an older pair that fit under really well, but I've just replaced them with the new Pro's and they're a bit of of squeeze to zip all the way down too

  10. Do the leathers have two zips on each of the ankles? I think Dainese thinking is that when wearing boots inside you leave one of the zips undone ( the one that doesn't actually 'open' the lower leg).

  11. The dainese I have, you open the extending leather zip for an in boot. With both zips closed, there is no way any kind of boot is getting under.

  12. What do you think of the boots?

  13. My Dainese leathers (TalosIV) are 10 years old, along with the boots, can't remember what there called but their the original in boots with a carbon skeleton that wraps around the ankle. The boots are quite chunky & yet I can do both zips on the back of the legs up over the boots. Bought some unwanted boots without trying them a couple of years & the leathers are loose over the boots.
Dainese must keep changing the specs

  14. try these matey,,,

  15. hmmmm..strange, they seem really loose with the other zip left open thats why I thought both zips had to be done up, I can manage it but its a struggle. Ill try them again with just the main zip done up and see how it feels..
Apart from that they are extremely comfortable from the off, I always have to break boots in a bit to get them comfortable but these are great straight away.
I wear them under my Kevlar jeans as well.
