1299 Dampers For The 1299

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Martin T, Jan 25, 2017.

  1. Just like everyone's experience's with springs and dampers.

On the list of upgrades to my bike i have been looking at putting the TTX rear shock and spring along with the Ohins front inserts on my standard 1299. I been quoted about £950 for the rear and £880 ish for the fronts, along with a setting up session to match springs etc.

Has anyone done this? and did it make a big difference?

My riding is fast road / track.

    Thanks in advance

    Martin

  2. When I had a base 1199 (same suspension kit as 1299) I found the suspension very hard for road use. I never took it on the track mind. So I personally think suspension upgrades are well worth it, so much so I bought a Nitron R1 rear shock for mine - which I just so happen to be selling if you're interested! It's the fast road/track model rather than the all-out race version, but it was still a huge improvement over standard.

  3. Mate, at those prices bite their arm off. New TTX Mk II for my 1098R was over £1k as was the Ohlins unit for my girlfriends Diavel. I also paid about £800 for a second hand set of Nix fork internals. Andy
