If I was nearer I'd help with ride in. But funerals I've only just dealt with in the last 4 years . I'd never been to family ones because I always wanted to remember them as I knew them. The first one was my friend who was a biker . He requested we ride with him. So I did on my bike. Held it together until I rode in cemetary . That was local . 2nd one was my grandad I couldn't ride. Was violently sick. Il do my parents cause I'm the oldest .. But I've only encountered Darren by email and I'd hate to embaress his family. Apart from donations I wonder if we could do anything else if we can't be there. Know it sounds daft but how about if your doing your bike of the year award maybe you should have a trophy that gets passed on each year . Seeing as 2012 was the year this forum was founded and the year he sadly passed why don't you name it in his namesake or something? I know it sounds funny but it often happens. I think it would be a nice thing to do as he was an original member ... Be nice if the plate with the name of it in was done in Titanium as well . Seeing as he made all those lovely savers? I know many can't make it or feel maybe they did not know him in person well enough ... But how about you do this Bike of the year award call it after him or his bike even ? Who ever wins it is in the understanding that they return it yearly and why.. If anyone legs it with it they should be lynched!!!! Or Rob keeps the cup and its engraved with the winners name and year and a little photo is placed on their posts for a year ??? What do you think?

It appears I am going to be working long days into / through nights again, however I would be grateful (as I am sure a lot of us would) if someone who attends poor Darren's funeral could take some photos of the cortege and the turnout so we can at least imagine we were there. I hope that doesn't sound sick. AL
