Dash Flashing Oil Service :(

  1. My 1199 had a new dash fitted the week before I bought it under warranty.
But it's now flashing oil service !
Is this a preset in the data in the dash ?

I know it doesn't need a service because it
Was done just before I bought it 5 weeks ago.

Is this a main steeler fix ie does it need plugging into a ducati workshop computer ?

  2. Service done by whom ? Wonder if the bike thinks it is new and requires a first service. How many miles have you done since the new speedo was fitted ? MD should just do a reset foc. Andy

  3. Snells
I bought it privately from south end on sea ..... A donkey ride that was back to middle earth ! Lol Staffordshire
900 I think your right Andy I think it thinks it's new it can't see it's stonechips
    MD ???

  4. Has it just passed 630 miles (1000km) on the dash? That's the cut off point for the first service so springs the light up at that point. Is just a case of plugging it in and resetting it at a dealers. They can't reset it before it is activated, as I found out with my 848, so had to go back once it came on for the reset.

  5. Yes just over 900 miles really annoying with the red flashing banner :(

  6. Sorry, my shorthand for main dealer. As it was Snells I have no doubt the service was done properly. Your local MD should do the reset as all the records will be available to them. Andy

  7. Just thinking about this, not sure mine flashed? It was just a little red box that came up saying oil service, think it was constant though rather than flashing and located next to the odo. Might be worth a quick call to the dealer just to be sure.
