I was looking at a 2015 Pike Peak 1200 at the weekend, but the dash display was monochrome. Is that right? I would have expected the PP models to have the colour dash display like the 'S' versions?
If it was a DVT, rather than a late registered pre 2015, then you'd be correct. It should be a colour dash. Possible sheep in wolf's clothing; a std model with a body kit. Though guessing that it had Ohlins etc?
If it was a 2014 late registered it wouldn't have Ohlins, they all had Skyhook. Should be fairly easy to spot as the DVT has a totally different front fairing from the 2010-2014 models. Is the beak all carbon or coloured and is the right side engine casing black or bronze? https://www.ducati.com/ww/en/bike-archive/multistrada-1200-s-pikes-peak/model-year-2015 Early registered 2016 models would be 1200 engines with Ohlins forks.
Its a late 2015 model, it has the later front end fairings (same as my 15 DVT). Mine has a monochrome dash as its the touring version. The PP I expected to have a colour dash - so it may be indeed be a sheep in wolfs clothing then. I thought it was too cheap Thanks guys
