1200 Pikes Peak Dash Question

  1. I was looking at a 2015 Pike Peak 1200 at the weekend, but the dash display was monochrome.

Is that right? I would have expected the PP models to have the colour dash display like the 'S' versions?

  2. If it was a DVT, rather than a late registered pre 2015, then you'd be correct. It should be a colour dash.

Possible sheep in wolf's clothing; a std model with a body kit. Though guessing that it had Ohlins etc?

  3. Probably a 2014 bike and registered 2015. Same as mine.

  4. If it was a 2014 late registered it wouldn't have Ohlins, they all had Skyhook. Should be fairly easy to spot as the DVT has a totally different front fairing from the 2010-2014 models. Is the beak all carbon or coloured and is the right side engine casing black or bronze?

Early registered 2016 models would be 1200 engines with Ohlins forks.

  5. Its a late 2015 model, it has the later front end fairings (same as my 15 DVT). Mine has a monochrome dash as its the touring version. The PP I expected to have a colour dash - so it may be indeed be a sheep in wolfs clothing then. I thought it was too cheap ;)

    Thanks guys
