As above - haven't had one of these before (evo1100). Not sure when It came on but its had a clean and SDoc'ing this afternoon after getting caught in ground water on Thursday night coming back along the m4 from Wales. Anyway cleaned it went out - everything fine apart from the dip beam had gone so went and got a new bulb thinking that might sort it out but no. While I was getting it dyno'd 6 weeks ago I mentioned to chris at CJS tuning that the error light appeared now and again but flicking the ignition off and on again would clear it. He said once he finished that the error was a fuel sender error. Havent seen it since until today. As I say everything works, it starts on the button, all the electrics are working....so, how do I find out what the error is....this im gathering will entail some sort of usb/comport device to plug into a laptop.... Anyone has a clue/punt have a crack at it with my pleasure.... Cheers.
If Error is displayed in the dash it should have an error message and code which will identify the fault. Listed on pages 30-33 in the manual. I had an immobiliser fault with my hyper and had to override it by keying in a special code until I could get a dealer to sort it.
I looked in the manual....I know about the errors but I'm not seeing anything....just the engine light. I did speak to Chris at louigi this morning. He reckons there's water in either the rpm sensor or the speedo sensor...yet to check them...but he did say itd probably go by its own accord...
Hi Comfy, I'm surprised that the master of weatherproofing has fallen foul of a water related issue! Cheers, Moses.
Touche.... Its electrics.... Not much I can do about that...I've been concentrating on fixings and coating...
Could have been when we came back from wales last week....had just been hammering down coming back along the m4.....dunno...as I say it runs fine so I'm not too worried...
Still going on the weatherproofing though...almost there bar the big one which would be the engine itself...but that's not coming out unless something goes bang or unless I can afford some serious engine mods...
Well......the light is out....took it to riders today ( bristol ) on the off chance I could speak to a mechanic to pick his brains....even better he hooked it up....fuel sender sensor error, plus a host of other errors....probably me unplugging stuff while looking for the problem....anyway, errors cleared, light out, but if it triggers again that's what it is....the worst thing will be getting the tank off to get to the sensor....
